EUROPEAN ECO-FORUM ISSUE GROUP ON EDUCATION

European ECO-Forum Issue Group on Education was established in September 2000, at the ECO-Forum Strategy meeting in Kiev, Ukraine.

The group was actively promoting the proposal on elaboration and adoption of
UNECE Strategy on Education for Sustainable Development.

ECO-Forum experts were involved in the ESD Strategy elaboration at all
stages of the process.

In March 2005 European ECO-Forum organised NGO Preparatory meeting to the UNECE High Level Meeting of Ministries of Environment and Ministries of Education on Education for Sustainable Development (Vilnius, Lithuania).
